Top Performers in Key Quality Measures
In 2015, 28 affiliated hospitals were recognized as Top Performers on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, a leading accrediting agency for healthcare organizations. Of these 28, eight hospitals are among the 117 nationwide that have been honored by The Joint Commission for the past five years. Hospitals receiving this distinction have exceled in implementing clinical processes that have shown to improve care for certain conditions, including heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical care, children’s asthma, inpatient psychiatric services, stroke, venous thromboembolism, perinatal care, immunization, tobacco treatment and substance abuse. Only about one-third of hospitals nationwide were recognized.
